Aerospace Launchpad
The Launchpad Program offers volunteering, internships, and mentorships for high school students and above. The aim is to increase STEM literacy, provide leadership and collaboration opportunities, foster interest in STEM careers, and break down stereotypes associated with STEM.
Youth Volunteer Program Information
The Frontiers of Flight Museum’s Launchpad starts in 8th grade and is designed to grow STEM skills, leadership, and career interest. Youth volunteers gain hands-on experience through service learning, interacting with STEM professionals, attending conferences, and helping with museum programs.
This volunteer program also serves as a pathway into our paid internship program. Volunteers build leadership skills by supporting — and eventually leading — activities at the Museum.
Participants progress through our Four-Tier Program, starting as a Recruit and advancing by completing volunteer hours. Placement depends on your tier, age, grade, and supervisor’s discretion. Volunteer shifts are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after events are posted, and availability may vary.
