This exciting series will feature astronauts, innovators, and leaders from across the aerospace community who will share their experiences, insights, and vision for the future. Their stories are designed to inspire the next generation of aviators, engineers, and explorers, while strengthening Dallas’ role as a hub for aerospace excellence.
Proceeds from the Caroline Rose Hunt Lecture Series will directly fund programs that bring aerospace education to underserved communities across North Texas. Three-time Super Bowl champion, former U.S. Air Force A-10 fighter pilot, author and speaker
CHAD HENNINGS is a three-time Super Bowl champion, former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, College Football Hall of Famer, and nationally recognized speaker whose life exemplifies leadership, service, and character.
A native of Elberon, Iowa, Hennings attended the United States Air Force Academy, where he became one of the most decorated defensive linemen in college football history. In 1987, he led the nation with 24 sacks, earned unanimous All-American honors, and received the prestigious Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman.
After graduating in 1988, Hennings fulfilled his military commitment as an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot. Stationed in the United Kingdom, he flew 45 combat missions in support of Operation Provide Comfort following the Gulf War, helping deliver humanitarian relief to Kurdish refugees. He was twice awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal and promoted to captain in 1992.
That same year, Hennings began his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played nine seasons (1992–2000) as a defensive tackle. Known for his discipline and leadership both on and off the field, he helped anchor one of the NFL’s top defensive units and won three Super Bowls (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX).
Following his football career, Hennings transitioned into business and motivational speaking, focusing on leadership, integrity, and purpose-driven living. He is the author of Rules of Engagement: Finding Friendship, Faith, and Strength in a Disconnected World and continues to inspire audiences across the country with lessons drawn from the gridiron, the cockpit, and a life of service.
Chad Hennings’ unique journey—from Air Force Academy standout to combat pilot to Super Bowl champion—makes him a powerful voice on resilience, character, and leading with conviction.
